NFL – America’s Game is almost here

NFL Crowds that sell out stadiums constantly - 68,000 here at Gillette Stadium.

The wait for the new NFL season is almost over

Analysts, journalists and Fantasy Football owners have said pretty much all there is to say about the new NFL season. Fans have already had a taste of football, with pre-season games and let’s not forget about the College game. No.1 Alabama were too hot to handle for FSU. No.4 Penn State moved up the college rankings after their 52-0 shutout against Akron. Star RB, Saquaon Barkley will be watched closely by all 32 franchises. Barkley is regarded by many as the most talented football Player in the NCAAF, he has transformed the recent fortunes of the Nitanny Lions.

Unstoppable Patriots?

The 2017 Super Bowl Champions are widely tipped to win the AFC Championship. The New England Patriots are priced by Paddy Power to retain their title at 4/1. Tom Brady will be without his go-to wideout, Julian Edelman who suffered a season ending injury in preseason.

The new season gets underway when the Kansas City Chiefs head to East Coast to face the Pats for Thursday Night Football.

You love it. You love competition. If you’re in this business, that’s what you thrive on, and I’d tell you both sides feel that way. The players, that’s why they play the game. They want to play against the best. – Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs – via

A new era for LA

Los Angeles didn’t have a football team two years ago, now they have two. The Chargers return to LA and will temporarily occupy the StubHub Centre. Former Bills offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn replaces Mike McCoy as the Head Coach. Lynn has plenty of talent on his roster. Whether or not he can get the best out of veterans Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates remains to be seen. The AFC West looks set to be a very competitive division.

Life without Luck

Andrew Luck is set to miss the opening month of the NFL season. Chuck Pagano is one of a number of coaches who are closely monitoring players on the IR.

Colin Kaepernick, once of the San Francisco 49ers remains a free agent. A number of pros including Cam Newton and Von Miller have come to Kaepernick’s defence, stating that he’s good enough to be playing in the NFL.

Tyrod Taylor is expected to start for the Buffalo Bills this weekend. Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens are set to welcome back franchise quarterback Joe Flacco.

Let’s go D

It’s not all about the offence. JJ Watt is bound to have another huge impact on the Houston Texans season. JJ is an absolute nightmare for quarterbacks, add Brian Cushing and Jadaveon Clowney into that mix and you have a very formidable D.

The 2017 No. 1 draft pick Myles Garrett will be under the media spotlight. The Cleveland Browns have had little to cheer about of late.

All eyes are on Thursday Night Football. The big question is whether or not the Patriots can be stopped from winning consecutive Super Bowls.
